Released in 2021, the 6.8 Western is a collaboration between Browning and Winchester designed to provide outstanding long-range performance out of a .277 caliber cartridge. It is based on a shortened 270 WSM case, and it allows for longer and heavier bullets with higher ballistic coefficients to fit in a standard short action.
