The 475 Maximum was developed by John Linebaugh in 2001, together with its ‘big brother’ the 500 Maximum and is sometimes called the 475 Linebaugh Long. It is 0.2” longer than the ‘standard’ 475 Linebaugh at 1.6inch. it did not achieve the success hoped for as the 475 Linebaugh provided much better ballistics.
