     PROVIDENCE. TOOL CO. - ON AN EVERLASTING CASE   I'm not sure about these 2 specimens. I anyone has any info on this please let me know    

   This is the 284 Win case necked up to .35. It gives basically the same ballistics as the 35 Whelen with about the same case capacity.

The 35 Whelen was introduced by Whelen on September 15th, 1923 in the American Rifleman in an article titled American Heavy Caliber Rifles for Large Game. Whelen reported that they were getting 2834 fps with a 200 grain bullet and 2635 fps with a 250 grain one....

Developed by Fred Wade of Wade's Gunroom, Phoenix AZ. Also known as the 35-338 Magnum, based on the 338 Win Mag case   

   Developed by Breil Jackson, the editor of Guns & Game magazine in Australia in 2001. It uses the 300 WSM case necked up to .35" with no other changes

This is an “improved” version of the standard 35 Whelen with the shoulder moved forward by .050” and the shoulder about .020” wider. It is not the same as the Ackley version and the velocity/energy gain would be negligible over a standard .35 Whelen....

   This is another development by Ed Hubel and the 499 Hubel is based on the 475 No. 2 Nitro Express case.    

Designed during the mid 1970's by Art Alphin after an encouter with a buffalo in Africa. it is a shorter version than the 500 A-Square and less powerful than the 460 Weatherby but gives the advantage of the larger diameter bullet.

   One of the bigger Weatherby wildcats. It is based on the 460 Weatherby opened up to .483"

This is basically a 375 H&H case necked up to .470cal.   The red base version is a PROOF round  

        Supposed to be the rimmed version of the 460 G&A.

   Like the standard 460 G&A, the 460 Long is based on the 404 Jeffery basic 3" case necked up with the shoulder pushed forward.

Based on the 404 Jeffery case, necked to .458” the idea came from Tom Siatos, executive publisher of Guns & Ammo magazine, hence the name (Big Bore Rifles, Feb 1995, article by Jack Lott).
