The 10.3×68 RWS was developed in response to the traditionally favourite 10.3mm bullet that have been used for generations by the Swiss from mainly the Swiss canton of Graubunden, that were made famous first by the Vetterli and Martini stalking rifles and later on the 10.3x60R Swiss cartridge. In most cantons in Switserland, the minimum hunting calibre is the 10.3x60R and the 10.3×68 RWS is a modernised version with a belted case made for Blaser and Sauer rifles. Power is between the 30-06 and the 416 Rem Mag.
