Still looking for all the info from when South Africa started manufacturing the 380 Auto during mid to late-1980’s. When the manual on South African head markings was published in December 1985 it did not yet contain any detail on the 380 Auto, so it is therefore assumed that it was probably around early to mid 1986. The first cartridges encountered were the Hirtenberg manufactured cartridges for Musgrave.
