The 9mm Largo is the Spanish version of the 9mm Bergmann-Bayard cartridge that was adopted by them as a military side-arm in 1905 for use in the M1903 Bergmann-Mars Pistol. It is not a separate cartridge and is listed here only for interest’s sake, as the main discussion will be under the 9mm Bergmann-Bayard. The 9mm Largo remained in service until replaced by the 9mm Parabellum in the late 1960’s.
